The Holly Springs Cultural Center – Music, comedy, drama and other presentations are available at affordable prices nearly every weekend in March and April, typically starting at 7:30 p.m. These include:

  • A concert by Route 55 Jazz Orchestra, composed of local musicians presenting the Big Band sound
  • Beatlesque, a Beatles tribute band based in Raleigh that recreates the looks and sounds of the Fab Four
  • The Revelers, the Grammy-nominated group that combines original Cajun, Country, Blues, and Zydeco music
  • The Kase of the Kidnapped Kerbopple, a comedy mystery spoof
  • The Malpass Brothers, a classic country music duo
  • The Holly Springs Community Band, a local aggregation of talent offering music ranging from classical to rock
  • The Jungle Book, a straight adaptation of the well-known story

Spring Fling and Community Yard Sale – This free event at Sugg Farm at Bass Lake at 2401 Grigsby Ave. on Saturday, March 17, includes games, music and even an Easter egg hunt for children.

Shred with the Police Bike Rodeo – The Daniel Dhers Action Sports Complex at 171 Tradition Trail hosts the Holly Springs Police Department leading children in a free bicycle rodeo and registration event. Children can ride through safety courses, learn about the “rules of the road” for cyclists and have the opportunity to ride BMX with a police officer inside the skatepark, plus get demonstrations from BMX riders and motorcycle officers. For adults, there are two “Coffee with a Cop” events in March where you can meet members of the Community Outreach Team and patrol officers for fellowship and conversation. The first is on Wednesday, March 7, from 9-11 a.m. at Thanks a Latte at 1118 Kentworth Drive, and the second is on Wednesday, March 28 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Starbucks at 185 Grand Hill Place.
