How is a dental sleep appliance different from a CPAP?
Oral sleep appliances are small, comfortable devices worn like a mouthguard at night. Unlike CPAP machines, they have no mask, tubing, or noise — making them a great solution for patients who can’t tolerate CPAP or are looking for a more convenient alternative.
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea a while ago — do I need a new sleep study?
If your diagnosis is more than one year old, most insurance plans require a new or updated sleep study in order to approve coverage for a sleep appliance. But don’t worry — we can help coordinate an at-home sleep test if needed. It’s simple, comfortable, and often covered by insurance. Our team will walk you through the process and make sure everything is set up for success.
