Spring, the season of blooming and renewal, is upon us. After a cold winter spent inside, folks are no doubt ready to head back into the world and have adventures. At Klooster Family Dentistry, we’ve compiled a brief list of some of the local happenings in and around Holly Springs. Maybe we’ll see you at one of them!

Spring Fling Adult Egg Hunt at Dix Park

April 13; 2105 Umstead Dr., Raleigh; FREE

This free event is designed to bring the spirit of Easter back to adults and make you feel like a kid again. Get dressed for exercise and for the possibility of walking in grass, and come out with your friends to hunt for 15,000 hidden eggs. You can bring your own picnic blanket and lawn games or use the lawn games that will be set up in the park. As Dorothea Dix Park does not have public restrooms, the event will have portajohns. Make sure to register ahead of time, though the event is free.

Music of the Carolinas: Aloha Ka’naka O Hula Halau

April 14, 3:00 p.m.; NC Museum of History, 5 East Edenton St., Raleigh; FREE

If your idea of a fun time is less moving and more watching other people move, April’s edition of Music of the Carolinas may be just right for you. A Polynesian musical group led by Kumu Auntie Kui’, Aloha Ka’naka O Hula Halau seeks to embody and share the “Aloha” spirit with the world through song and dance. Large print and assisted listening devices are available for this performance. Though the event is free, donations are encouraged to help pay for the dancers’ time and energy.

Brewgaloo 2019

April 26 and 27; Fayetteville St., Raleigh; tickets starting at $30

The largest NC-based craft brewery festival, Brewgaloo is back this year for another celebration of the state’s local beer culture.
